David A. Reed

David Reed has focused his real estate practice on the lease, purchase and sale of commercial and industrial properties in the U.S. and Canada. As a former in-house counsel, he has significant commercial leasing experience, including build to suit and "big box" leasing and the development, management and execution of national development plans. A particular area of expertise has been the representation of public companies in the solid waste disposal industry, including the acquisition, development and sale of landfills, transfer stations, hauling facilities and recycling centers. His practice also includes the negotiation of office, warehouse and distribution facility leases, and site leases for alternative energy facilities including solar and landfill gas. David was formerly Associate General Counsel for Blockbuster, Inc., where he handled real estate legal responsibilities for the company, including the national roll-out of over 500 stores per year. He was also Senior Real Estate Counsel for AutoNation, Inc.
