Hugh Fain Honored by Virginia Lawyers Weekly for Inclusion in the Class of 2024 Hall of Fame
Spotts Fain is pleased to announce that Virginia Lawyers Weekly has named Shareholder Hugh Fain a Class of 2024 Hall of Fame member. This honor is reserved for attorneys who have practiced law for more than 30 years and have made a lasting mark on the legal profession. Criteria for selection include career accomplishments, contributions to the legal profession, contributions to the development of the law, contributions to the Bar and the Commonwealth and efforts to increase access to justice.
We are delighted that Virginia Lawyers Weekly has selected Hugh for this honor. Hugh is Past President of the Bar Association of the City of Richmond and Past President of the Virginia Bar Association. He has been named by his peers in Chambers USA and Best Lawyers in America in multiple categories. Hugh is a Fellow of the Virginia Law Foundation and a member of the Lewis Powell American Inn of Court. Hugh served on the Board of Directors for the Legal Aid Corporation of Virginia from 2013-2019. He is a past president of the VMI Alumni Association and the VMI Foundation and is currently serving on the VMI Board of Visitors. Over the years, Hugh has enjoyed mentoring countless young lawyers within the firm and beyond.
His career accomplishments, coupled with his dedication and service to the legal profession and the community, have earned Hugh the deep respect of his clients and colleagues alike. Hugh truly loves helping his clients solve their thorniest problems, constantly reminds his colleagues what a privilege it is to practice law, and is a passionate advocate for lawyers and the legal profession.
