Attorney Chris Hurley Promoted to Partner

Spotts Fain is pleased to announce attorney Chris Hurley has been promoted to Partner.

Chris Hurley practices in the Creditors’ Rights section of the firm, focusing on advising and representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings, commercial litigation, and collections and recovery actions in state and federal courts. Chris’s experience ranges from routine collections matters to complex commercial litigation, including commercial unlawful detainers, seeking the appointment of a receiver to manage commercial real estate, prosecuting and defending recovery actions in bankruptcy court, representing chapter 7 trustees in bankruptcy cases and related litigation, and helping lenders protect their rights in criminal asset forfeiture proceedings.

Chris graduated from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2018, and clerked for the US Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia and the US District Court for the Western District of Virginia, before joining Spotts Fain as an Associate in 2020. "Chris is a talented and strategic attorney, who has greatly contributed to the firm as a member of the Creditors’ Rights team.
